Here one may step back more than a 100 years to savor the pleasures of a colonial past and feel the ambience of colonial days while relaxing in the period furniture and décor. Then the World Heritage Site Kaziranga, its charm attracting people since Lady Carzon during 1905. Visit scenic Nameri NP situated on the foot hills of Arunachal Hills. Last, move to “Scotland of the East”, Shillong the capotal of Meghalaya and “Wettest Land On Earth” Cherrapunji with Mawllynnong Village where nature and local people stepping together with harmony.

 

Day 1: Dibrugarh Airport to Mancotta Tea Bunglow

Our tour representative will welcome you at the Dibrugarh Airport and then transfer (1 hours) to Mancotta Tea Heritage Bunglow. This 157 year old bunglow was built by British tea planters is located in the middle of Mancotta tea estate, just outside Dibrugarh. Remaining time is free for you. Take a Jeep and drive inside the garden to see the tea plantation. Later go to the tea factory to witness the processing of tea.

Overnight at Mancotta.

 

Day 2: To Dibru Saikhowa NP

Start early to Dibru Saikhowa NP. Activities: Boating at Dibru River, Jungle walks, birding and also will try to spot Gangetic Dolphin in Dibru River.

Byevening back to Mancotta and overnight stay.

 

Day 3: Mancotta to Jorhat (5 Hours drive)

Post breakfast, move to Jorhat. Reach by afternoon and check in at Banyan Grove.

Built more than 100 years ago, it had been the abode of the ‘Factory Assistant Manager’ – lovingly called "Mistry Sahib" for his all-pervading technical skills. His nocturnal visits to the factory are familiar, since best teas are made during the cool early hours. The floor area is over 9000 sq. ft. and compound area spread over 2 hectares. Situated in the heart of Gatoonga Tea Estate.

Remaining time is free to roam around Banyan Grove.

 

Day 4: Jorhat - Majuli river Island – Jorhat

Start early and move to Majuli river island by ferry crossing river Brahmaputra. Attractions: The Vaishnavite Satras (Monasteries), Village life styles, Mask cultures, Mishing Tribal villages etc.

Late afternoon, again back to Jorhat and overnight stay Banyan Grove.

 

Day 5: Jorhat to Kaziranga NP

Post breakfast, move to Kaziranga NP. Check in hotel in Kaziranga NP. Afternoon, avail one round of Jeep safari inside the National Park. Evening enjoy Bihu folk Dance at Nature Hunt Eco Camp. After taking ethnic dinner back to hotel and overnight stay.

 

Day 6: Kaziranga to Balipara near Tezpur (3 Hours drive)

Early morning either at 5.15 AM or 6.15 AM avail Elephant back safari inside the NP. Post breakfast, move to Balipara. Check in at Wild Mahseer, the Heritage Bungalow.

Spread over 22 acres it is set in the midst of the Balipara division of Adabarie Tea Estate near Tezpur, which was established by the British Assam Tea Company in 1864.

 

Afternoon, local sightseeing near to Wild Mahseer.

Overnight stay.

 

Day 7: Wild Mahseer to Nameri NP (1 Hour)

Morning  experience river rafting in Jia-Bhoroli river adjoining Nameri NP. Remaining time is free in Nameri NP for roaming.

Evening back to Wild Mahseer and overnight stay.

 

Day 8: Wild Mahseer to Shillong (6 Hours drive)

Post breakfast, move to Shillong, the Capital of Meghalaya. On the way stop at scenic Umium Lake.By evening check in Tripura Castle.

Built in the early 1920s by Maharaja Bir Bikram, Tripura Castles the symbol of the Maharaja’s romance with Shillong.

Overnight in Shillong.

 

Day 9: Shillong – Cherrapunji – Shillong

Post breakfast excursion tour to Cherrapunji. En route visit Elephanta falls. Attractions at Cherrapunji: Nohkalikai falls, Mawsmai falls, Mawsmai cave, Thengaraka Park, Bangladesh border etc. On way back to Shillong, visit Shillong peak. Evening visit Police bazaar, Bara Bazar.

Overnight in Shillong.

 

Day 10: Shillong – Mawllynnong – Shillong

Post breakfast, move to Mawllynnong. Discovery India declared it as “the Cleanest village in Asia”. Attractions: Sky view from Bamboo bridges, Khasi Village, The Old Church, Living root bridge, Dowky River which is located on the border of India and Bangladesh etc.

Evening back to hotel and overnight stay.

 

Day 11: Shillong to Guwahati ( 4 Hours drive)

Post breakfast, back to Guwahati, the commercial hub of North east India. Check in at Hacienda.

Located at Geetanagar in the heart of Guwahati and spread over more than 10,000 square feet it is an ideal destination for visitors seeking exclusive luxurious living in comfort and elegance. Perched on the hilltop, having a breathtaking view of the sprawling city of Guwahati, ensconced in the lap of hills and lined by the meandering Brahmaputra, its interiors reflect traditional Indian elegance influenced by colonial era with all modern amenities.

Evening avail Brahmaputra river Cruise and then visit handicraft shop.

Overnight in Guwahati.

 

Day 12: To Guwahati Airport

On this day, as per flight schedule, move to Guwahati Airport for onward journey.
