Nagaland one of the seven sisters of Northeast India makes an amazing tourists destination with its awesome hills and breathtaking valleys. Sightseeing places in Nagaland

Tuensang- Tuensang is a town in the easternmost and largest district of Nagaland, with a population of 36,774. It is a homeland of the Chang Nagas, the predominant tribes, Tuensang is a place where many tribes live together. The town is popular for handloom, handicrafts, artworks, and jewelry. The town has a mixture of culture and tradition.

Peren- Peren is formed by the partition of Kohima and its an eleventh district of Nagaland.  

It is surrounded by the Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong districts of Assam in the west, Dimapur district to the north-east,  Kohima district in the east and Tamenglong district of Manipur in the south are the other boundaries. The Bereu Village and Mount Pauna village are the major attractions of the Peren. The Mount Pauna Village is a tourism village in Nagaland and shows the rich culture and tradition of Zeliagrong and Kuki tribes. The other places to visit in Peren are Ntangki National Park, Mt Kisa and the caves at Puilwa Village.

Kiphire- is a newly formed district in Nagaland which was out from the 

Tuensang district. After Longlang it is a second populous district of Nagaland. Its surrounds by the Tuensang District in the north, Phek district in the west and Myanmar in the east. Kiphire is the best adventurous place for adventure lovers as they can yield in activities like trekking, rafting, and canoeing. The splendid landscape view of Kiphire makes the visitors visit again. The highest peak of Nagaland Saramati lies here. Kiphire has a  scenic village-like Pungro, Salumi, and Mimi. Among these villages Mimi and Salumi are believed to be virgin Lands, to add beauty in this village there is a number of caves and waterfalls.

Benreu- is one of the villages of Nagaland, India. The village is a medium-size located in Pedi ( Ngwalwa) circle of Peren district. The districts lie at an altitude of 1,950meters above the sea-level. The village is an eco-friendly green village surrounded by nature. The village has rich forest resources with much flora and fauna. The people of the Benreu village lives a very simple life. The village has a breathtaking landscape. The village shows the Nagas Lifestyle and culture and it is considered as a cultural paradise.

Mokukchung- Mokukchung is one of the important towns of the Nagaland. It is 6 hours away from Kohima.  Mokokchung is derived from the Mokok means unwillingly and Chung means a group of people. The word Mokokchung refers to a group of people who unwillingly departed from their settlement.  It is the cultural center of Ao Tribes and celebrates Moatsu Festival in the first week of May every year.

Kohima- the capital city of Nagaland, is the most beautiful place to visit in Nagaland. The height of the town is 1500meters above the sea level, provided with beautiful hills, emerald forest, and a picturesque landscape. The name Kohima derived from the word ” Kewhira” from the Kewhi flower found in the region. The place offers scenic views, also reminds one of the Second World Wars scenarios.

Khonoma Village- Khonoma Village is situated 20km away from Kohima. The Nagas of Village belonging to ” Angami Naga” an ethnic group of Naga. Khonoma village is also known as Khonoma Green Village because Khonoma villagers have given up all the hunting system and start to conserve nature. The Nagas of the village have set an example for the responsible Naga Tribes.

Touphema Village- Around 41km away from Kohima, Touphema Village is situated. The Naga people of Touphema has a tribute to their culture, lifestyle, and people of Nagaland. The village has traditionally styled thatched huts, artifacts, jewelry, clothing, the museum and many more. The village gives more information about the Naga culture and tradition. Every year of the 25th and 27th of February the Angami Sekrenyi Festival is celebrated.

Dzukou Valley- Valley blessed with natural beauty, situated at a distance of about
30kms from Kohima, the state capital. The absolute mesmerizing beauty, breathtaking landscape, multi-hued flowers in spring season looks paradise on the earth. The valley is dotted with many streams and ravines. Dzukou Valley is mainly reputed for trekking and it takes two days to reach the Valley, It begins from Viswema Village.
