Situated at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, Nameri National Park is the last home to the Endangered White-Winged wood duck and is spreading in an area of 200 sq. Famed as a Birdwatcher’s paradise with around 300 species of Avifauna, is also home to wild animal species like Tiger, Leopard, Sambar, Dhole (the Asiatic wild dog), Pygmy Hog, Indian wild Bison, clouded leopard, Gaur, Wild Boar, Sloth bear, Capped Langur, Indian Giant squirrel etc.
