Day 1: Guwahati-Shillong
Arrive Guwahati Airport and transfer to Shillong (4 hours drive without traffic jam) and reach by evening. Evening if time permits, visit Police bazaar, Bara Bazar. Check in hotel in Shillong. Overnight.Guwahati is the gateway to the whole of the north-eastern region of India.
It is situated on the south bank of river Brahmaputra is home to the world’s largest tea auction center. The Kamakhya Temple dominates the life of Guwahati, as much as does the great Brahmaputra River. The temple, situated over Neelachal Parbat or Kamagiri in the city of Guwahati is one of its several religious landmarks.
The Kamakhya Temple had been built in reverence to Goddess Kamakhya or Sati, who was one of the numerous incarnations of Goddess Durga or Goddess Shakti. The famous Srimanta Shankerdev Kalashetra- which is multi-art complex and displays the rich cultural diversity and life of Assam and that of the north eastern region of the country.
Day 2: Shillong to Cherrapunji (2 Hours drive)
Post breakfast excursion tour to Cherrapunji (2 hours). En route visit Elephanta falls. Attractions at Cherrapunji: Nohkalikai falls,Mawsmai falls, Mawsmai cave,Thengaraka Park, Bangladesh border etc.By evening check in hotel in Cherrapunji and overnight stay.

Cherrapunjee is the wettest place in the world. At Cherrapunjee, explore the lime stone caves includes several places like Nohkhalikal Falls, Mawsmai Caves.You can also explore some of the caves in and around Cherrapunjee.
Mawsmai Caves is the final place to visit in Cherrapunjee. The Shillong Peak (1690 meters msl ) offers breathtaking views of the city spread out against its glorious hill slopes. Cherrapunjee’s numerous falls are most impressive during the steamy monsoon season when awesome torrents of water plunge down to the Bangladeshi plains.
Day 3: Cherrapunji to Mawllynnong (3 hours drive)
On this day, move to Mawllynnong. Discovery India declared it as “the cleanest village in Asia”. Attractions: Sky view from Bamboo bridges, Khasi Village, The Old Church, Living root bridge, Dowky River which is located on the border of India and Bangladesh etc.Overnight stay in Home stay or Guest House.
Mawllynnong is the cleanest village in India which is nearly 28 km from Cherrapunjee the wettest place in the world and just close to the scenic village, there are interesting sights like the living root bridge and a beautiful sight boulder balancing on another rock.
Day 4: Mawllynnong to Shillong (3 hours drive)
This day we will move back to Shillong. On way back to Shillong, visit Shillong peak (1690 meters msl). Then sightseeing in Shillong. By evening visit Police bazaar, Bara Bazar. Overnight in Shillong.

Bara Bazar is the popular market in Shillong.you will have the opportunity to witness local handicrafts,some varieties of vegetables, which are indigenous to this part of the country only.Police bazaar is another popular market in Shillong.Evening is the best time to visit here.
Day 5: Shillong to Guwahati Airport or Railway station (5 Hours drive)
In morning, leave Shillong and move to Guwahati International Airport or railway station to catch the afternoon flight for onward journey.
