Namdapha National Park (Arunachal Pradesh)


Namdapha NP, is one of the avifaunally most diverse areas in the World. The wide altitudinal range (200 to 4571 m MSL) supports a huge diversity of habitats.

Over 500 species of birds are recorded here including a large number of rare, endemic and restricted range species of global conservation importance. It is also one of the few Indian Protected areas with five species of Hornbills.

Day 1: Dibrugarh Airport to Hotel

You will be welcomed by our tour representative at the Dibrugarh Airport (Easternmost part of Assam) and transfer to Hotel in Dibrugarh or Tinsukia. Remaining time is free for you.

Overnight in Dibrugarh or Tinsukia.

Day 2: To Namdapha NP (5 Hours drive)

Morning move to Namdapha NP. By late afternoon, check in to Forest Rest House at Deban Camp. Remaining time is free at Camp.

Overnight stay.

Day 3: At Namdapha NP (Dewan to Haldibari Point)

Today we will trek for about 5 km to Haldibari point (Here we will Camp overnight). On the way, main attractions will be various species of Birds and other wildlife. Support team will be there during this trek. By sunset, we will camp at Haldibari and overnight stay.

Day 4: At Namdapha NP (Haldibari Point to Hornbill Point)

This day, we will start trek to Hornbill point, and distance will be around 6 kms. This trek will be uphill through thick vegetation. Birding and wildlife view on the way. Before Sunset, Camp at Hornbill point.

Overnight stay.

Day 5: At Namdapha NP (Hornbill Point to Bulbulia Point)

This day, the vegetation will be thicker than the previous days. Start trek to Bulbulia Point.

After day long trek across Bulbulia point, camp there.

Overnight stay.

Day 6: At Namdapha NP

This day, the return journey. Trek downhill all the way to Dewan Camp. By late afternoon, reach Dewan Camp and overnight stay.

Day 7: Namdapha NP to Tinsukia (5 Hours drive)

Back to Tinsukia in Assam. On the way, at Digboi we will visit War memorial, Centenary Oil Museum etc. By evening reach Tinsukia.


Day 8: At Dibru-Saikhowa National Park

Early morning move to Dibru-Saikhowa National Park. Activities: Boating at Dibru River, Jungle walk, Birding and also will try to spot Gangetic Dolphin in Dibru River. Evening back to same hotel and overnight.

Day 9: In Dibru Saikhowa NP

Morning we will go to Borajan WLS. Its main attraction is Hoolock Gibbon and various species of Birds.

Afternoon, Boating at Maguri Motapung Beel (Waterbody). Enjoy the the sunset with collections of thousands of Birds.

Overnight in Tinsukia or at Dibru Saikhowa NP.

Day 10: To Dibrugarh Airport

Morning as per flight schedule, move to Dibrugarh Airport to catch the flight for onward journey.
