The colourful tribes of Upper Assam mainly in the districts of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia has its own unique ethnicity and lifestyles. All tribes are mainly Mangoloid origin and from different regions has its diverse lifestyles and cultures.

Nearest railway station is Tinsukia town and Airport  Dibrugarh (Mohanbari).

Durations: 6 nights/7 days

Best time to visit: October end to April.



Day 1: Dibrugarh Airport.

Our tour representative will welcome you at the Dibrugarh Airport/railway station and then check in Hotel in Dibrugarh. Overnight at Dibrugarh.

Day 2: Dibrugarh to Namphake Village, Naharkatia

Early breakfast and then move to Namphake village near Naharkatia town, 2 hours.

It is the largest of the Tai-Phake villages in Assam, boasting 70 odd families, which trace their ancestry to the great Tai race and of Buddhist Religion. The Namphake Buddhist Monastery, one of the oldest and most respected Buddhist Monastery in Assam. The villagers live in ‘Chang Ghar’, bamboo and wood houses built on raised platforms and are mostly engaged in Agricultures.

Evening back to Margherita and check in at Singpho Cottage or Digboi Tourist Lodge or similar.

Over night.

Day 3: Singpho tribal village, Tai-Phake tribal Villages, Tangsa Tribal Villages near Margherita

Early breakfast and move to Singpho Village, Tai-Phake Tribal Village and Tangsa Village. These all are nearby to each others. These all tribes belong to Mangoloid origins. Post lunch move to Digboi. Attractions at Digboi: Attractions: The Centenary Oil Museum, World War II Cemetery etc.

Evening back to same accommodation.

Day 4: Margherita to Namdapha National Park (Tiger Project)

Early breakfast and then move to Namdapha National Park via Miao of Arunachal Pradesh, 3 hours journey. Evening check in at Dewan Camp or same in Nampdapha National Park (depends on availability of accommodation).

Overnight at Namdapha National Park.


As there is not enough accommodations arrangements in Namdpaha NP, in that case we may use Tented accommodations.

Day 5:  At Namdapha National Park

Whole day at Namdapha National Park. Activities: Trekking in the dense forests, bird watching and also will try to spot some animals.

Namdapha NP is the 15th Tiger Reserve in the country spread over 1985 sq kms and is the largest National Park in Arunachal Pradesh.

The unique features of this park is that the park covers a wide range of altitude from 200 meters to 4,500 meters. This Nationals Park is also home to a large variety of butterflies, birds and other flora & fauna.

Evening stay in the same accommodation. Overnight at Namdapha.

Day 5:  Namdapha National Park-Dibru-Saikhowa National Park

Post breakfast move to Dibru-Saikhowa National Park. By late afternoon reach Dibru Saikhowa NP. Remaining time is free for you.

Overnight at Dibru-Saikhowa/Tinsukia.

Day 6: At Dibru-Saikhowa National Park

Whole day in Dibru Saikhowa NP. Activities: Boating at Dibru River, Jungle walk, Bird watching and Gangetic Dolphin sighting. Evening come back to same hotel and overnight.

Day 7:  Dibru-Saikhowa National Park-Dibrugarh Airport.

Morning after breakfast in time, transfer to Dibrugarh airport or Tinsukia Railway Station for the onward destination.
